My research focuses on human evolution, with a particular attention to the processes (cultural and historical) that have shaped the distribution of genetic variation across human populations. I’m also interested in exploring how non-human primates can be used to generate an interpretative framework for understanding our own evolutionary history.

I’m currently Associate Professor of Anthropology at the Department of Chemistry, Life Sciences and Environmental Sustainability (SCVSA), University of Parma
